Nouvoa is developing process technologies which will reduce waste and extract more value from biomass undergoing anaerobic digestion. The process technology will enable higher value target products of anaerobic digestion to be extracted, notably volatile organic acids (VOA’s).

Our process can be applied to anaerobic digesters of low value waste biomass, including sewage from farm effluent and the food industry’s processing waste. Harvested VOA’s have applications as feedstock chemicals for manufacturing and as food preservatives.
